Because we are family, we don’t focus our attention on ourselves, but rather on others. We live out the “One Anothers” in the Scriptures.

We are members one of another.

Romans 12:5 “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”

We are to love one another.

John 15:12, 17 “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.”

We are to serve one another.

Galatians 5:13 “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

We are to bear one another’s burdens.

Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

We are not to judge one another.

Romans 14:13 “Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.”

We are to forbear one another.

Ephesians 4:2 “With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.”

We are, in honor, to prefer one another.

Romans 12:10 “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.”

We are to forgive one another.

Colossians 3:12-13; Ephesians 4:32 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

We are to be of the same mind one toward another.

Romans 12:16; 15:5 “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.”

We are to submit one to another.

Ephesians 5:21; 1Peter 5:5 “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”

We are to receive one another.

Romans 15:7 “Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.”

We are to edify one another.

1 Thessalonians 5:11; Romans 14:9 “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.”

We are not to speak evil one of another.

James 4:11-12 “Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and destroy: who art thou that judgest one another?”

We are to admonish one another.

Romans 15:14; Colossians 3:16 “And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

We are to exhort one another.

Hebrews 3:13; 10:25 “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

We are not to bite and devour one another.

Galatians 5:15 “But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.”
